Application of proximity switch in action control and limit protection of CNC cutting machine

      In the process of ship and parts manufacturing, plate cutting as the first production process, its process quality affects the quality and efficiency of subsequent processing. Due to the large cutting requirements and cutting range required by shipbuilding, the traditional manual cutting method has high flexibility, but there are problems such as poor cutting quality, waste of materials and low production efficiency, which can not cope with the     increasingly fierce market competition. Compared with manual cutting machine, CNC cutting machine can effectively solve the complicated and diversified parts processing problems. Its advantage is to improve the efficiency and quality of plate cutting, while reducing the labor intensity of technical personnel. Therefore, CNC cutting machine has become a widely used and efficient plate cutting equipment.


      Hardware composition of plasma cutting machine control system



      In order to ensure the best cutting process and quality, the system manufacturer designed the action control and travel protection system in the platform. It is mainly used to detect and prevent collision of plasma cutting machine in high-speed cutting process, so that the equipment can automatically cut according to the graph track. The system consists of the following parts:



1. Proximity switch: used for initial positioning, stroke control or limit protection of laser cutting machine;


2. Servo drive and motor: control the speed and direction of motor by receiving the signal of control system;


3. Control module: it is mainly responsible for transmitting and converting to output signal to control the operation track of cutter;


      Because the plates to be processed may be inclined, uneven, and thick and thin, in order to prevent the nozzle from being damaged due to collision between the cutting torch and the cut part, the proximity switch is finally adopted to solve the above technical problems to ensure the operation accuracy and stability of the equipment.
